Rural development is the work of improving the quality of life and economic well-being of people from non-urban India – and rural poverty is what happens when that work doesn’t reach them. HELPMANKIND FOUNDATION addresses both – through grassroots ration distribution at workplaces, ration carried home to rural villages by migrant workers, and street-level outreach across Pune for the rural-origin families our city often overlooks. Three days a year – Independence Day, Republic Day, and Maharashtra Day – we set up at scale. The rest of the year, we keep showing up.
